This past week, Bosma Enterprises embarked on a new venture that will forever change the trajectory of our company. For several years, we have moved, adjusted and built in every corner of our two buildings to house our expanding operations. We have had nearly 10 percent growth in sales year-over-year for the past several years. This is wonderful news as it has created more employment for people who are blind. However, we are now bursting at the seams of both of our buildings.
Therefore, several months ago, our board of directors authorized me with finding a new location that would allow Bosma Enterprises to continue our pattern of growth and serve our needs for many years to come. Well, I am excited to announce, we have found that building.
We have purchased a building located at 6270 Corporate Drive on Indianapolis' northwest side. The building formerly housed Australian Gold. This new location increases our warehouse space by more than 30 percent. Another added benefit to this location is future growth.
Another major change is the launch of the Bosma Enterprises Programs Center of Excellence at our second location on Woodland Drive. All of our programs will be housed at this location, which gives us 50 percent more space to increase our capacities and pursue new and innovative programs that have been held back due to our limited space. I am excited what this will mean for Hoosiers with vision loss.
Our NAPA Balkamp line of business will continue to operate at Woodland Drive. The Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation, the supporting foundation of Bosma Enterprises, and the Bosma Independent Living Store will also be housed at this location.
During this transition, I can assure you there will be no interruption in the quality service and products you have come to know and trust from Bosma Enterprises. We have a plan that will allow us to operate at our current capacities to keep up with demand.
Finally, I want to thank you all for your continued support. Without you, we could not continue our mission to provide training and employment. You are changing the lives of people who are blind for the better.
