Your Independence is Our Goal

You can live with independence. We can show you how. Our rehabilitation programs were developed with this single goal: to help people who are blind or visually impaired live with freedom and self-sufficiency.

Based in Indianapolis, our center offers guidance and practical training on all aspects of living with blindness or visual impairment. From daily living skills to assistive technology; From public transportation to personal mobility; From Braille instruction to computer skills; From taking your GED or preparing for college to applying for a job; we will design a training program customized for your needs. We also offer adjustment counseling to help you adapt to vision loss.

Our rehabilitation center provides essential skills, but it also opens up new possibilities. We see it every single day - lives change here. This is a place that provides practical guidance but also a lifelong source of support and community. You’ll receive hands-on training and a renewed sense of self-confidence.

We’re constantly innovating at our center to better serve you. We have a custom-built Orientation and Mobility Trail that allows you to practice safe navigation on a variety of real-world surfaces. Our Assistive Technology lab offers expert-level instruction on computers, smart phones, software and devices. And we are always seeking out the latest technology and tools to help you live and work with independence.

This program is funded by the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation and support from our generous donors. Funding is also provided by Vocational Rehabilitation Services which provides quality individualized services to enhance and support people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain or retain employment.

We invite you to visit our rehabilitation center today.
