Charity Car Show '10
|
Car Show Wrap Up The roar of engines reverberated along Zionsville Rd as Bosma Enterprises celebrated its second annual Cruise-in-for-Vision Car Show on September 18th. Employees, volunteers and car collectors gathered together for a day of fun-filled fundraising which raised nearly $5,000 for the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation. Dozens of cars from across the state crowded the Bosma Enterprises lot from early morning to late afternoon on the last sunny Saturday of summer. One car showed off six shining wheels and a fashionable all-plastic interior while another boasted years of experience as a drag racer. Bosma awarded prizes to cars in several categories, ranging from “Longest Owned,” to “We Could Hear You Coming.” Judges awarded the coveted “Best In Show” to a stunning 1962 Ford Fairlane. The classic feel and beautiful white paint reminded everyone of the Golden Age of American Automotives and proved both a winner and a crowd favorite. Meanwhile, we enjoyed a visit from the Marion County Fire Department, who contributed a fire truck to the display. The Indianapolis Colts even contributed the famous “Colts in Motion” activities trailer. Children enjoyed balloon animals, face painting, and a supervised bounce house throughout the day, freeing up their parents to admire the cars. After weeks of preparation, the day of the car show came and went all too fast. Thanks to the work of Bosma’s dedicated employees and volunteers, and the generous support of our Indianapolis community, the Cruise-in-for-Vision Car Show is well on its way to becoming a Bosma tradition that will make our mark in the city for years to come.
