Doug Pingel

Vice President, Operations

Doug Pingel

How do you grow a production operation from $9.7 million to more than $36 million over the course of ten years? Ask Doug Pingel. Using a remarkable workforce that the average employer might never consider, he has helped to do just that!

As Bosma’s VP of Operations, Doug oversees Bosma’s production and shipping operations, including its production employees, 90% of whom are blind or visually impaired. Under Doug’s leadership, the number of employees has increased three fold. He attributes this extraordinary growth to two things: taking care of employees’ needs and providing customers with quality products.

Unlike many of Bosma’s staff, Doug did not have experience working with people who are blind or visually impaired before coming to Bosma. Doug’s prior career focused on manufacturing processes and the management of production operations. His natural people skills and manufacturing knowledge proved to be the combination Bosma needed to take its production operation to the next level.
