Bosma Enterprises Awarded Grant to Install Energy Efficient Lighting in the Warehouse

The Indiana Office of Energy Development, under the direction of the U.S. Department of Energy, has awarded Bosma Enterprises a grant for $15,698 to replace existing lighting in the warehouse with new energy efficient lighting through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG). EECBG funds are courtesy of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA).
The project is expected to reduce air pollution as a result of energy consumption by 1,673 tons over the 23 year lifecycle of the fixtures. This reduction is equivalent to planting 20 acres of trees, removing 18 cars from the road, or saving 9,034 gallons of gasoline.
This energy reduction is accomplished while increasing the amount of light emanating from each fixture. The increase in lighting will allow all workers to more easily navigate the warehouse which will improve safety conditions as well as optimize operations.
