Since 1915, Bosma Enterprises has been providing job training, employment services, rehabilitation, and outreach programs from adolescents to seniors. We're the only Indianapolis-area, not-for-profit provider of programs and services solely focused on people who are blind or visually impaired.

Bosma Production Facility

Being a good employee isn't hard for people who are blind or visually impaired. Unfortunately, finding meaningful employment is. At Bosma, we're dedicated to changing that.

Last year, Bosma's production facility generated more than $40 million in revenue using a work force in which more than 90 percent of the production employees are blind or visually impaired.

That's a startling revelation for businesses that question whether they can be competitive and accommodating when employing people with disabilities. Bosma's recent expansion to two facilities is proof that hiring people who are blind or visually impaired works.

Our goal is to eliminate unemployment and underemployment among people in Indiana who are blind or visually impaired, who want to work. How big is the challenge we face? The average unemployment rate is more than 70 percent.
