INDIANAPOLIS — Bosma Enterprises will host a two-day distribution and training event on August 10 and 11 in partnership with Meta and the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA), providing eligible veterans who are blind or visually impaired with Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses and hands-on training on how to use the technology.
Bosma Enterprises has led the adoption of Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses to assist employees with visual impairments. Bosma is currently using the technology in the manufacturing and warehousing departments and plans to expand their use across additional job functions, training programs and rehabilitation services.
Representatives from Bosma Enterprises, Meta and the Blinded Veterans Association will work directly with participating veterans to distribute the glasses, assist with setup and provide individualized training.
Participants will learn how to sync the glasses with compatible applications and use features designed to assist with daily visual tasks, communication, and interaction with their surroundings. Veterans will also have the opportunity to tour Bosma Enterprises’ headquarters and learn about the organization’s rehabilitation, training, and employment services.

Eligibility Criteria:
This event is open to blinded and low-vision veterans who meet the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Blind Rehabilitation Services (BRS) definition:
- Eligible veterans include those who are legally blind (central visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with corrective lenses, or a visual field limited to 20 degrees or less) or possess severe low-vision impairment (best-corrected visual acuity of 20/70 to 20/200, or significant peripheral field loss) that impacts daily functional capabilities and independent living.
Pre-registration is required to ensure that devices are available and individualized training can be scheduled for each participant.
