Un Nuevo Comienzo (A New Start)
Randall Castro and his family immigrated to the United States from Costa Rica when he was 36 years old and totally blind. Born with retinitis pigmentosa, Randall didn’t experience any debilitating vision issues until his early 20’s. He owned a transportation business, was married, and had two children. But by age 28, he had lost his vision, his company, and his self-esteem.
“I didn’t know what I needed.”
Why me?
Anyone who has lost their vision asks the same question. For Richard, who had lived a life of service to others, it was particularly poignant. He had counseled, cried, and argued with thousands of lost souls who were struggling with addiction and its fallout, only to find himself wondering why God dealt him this hand.
