Dining in the Dark is one of Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation’s most impactful fundraising events. This immersive evening invites guests to step into darkness during dinner, offering a brief but powerful perspective on vision loss, while raising critical funds for rehabilitation programs that support people who are blind or visually impaired.
Event Information
The 2026 Dining in the Dark gala on Saturday, September 26, was a huge success, raising $315,000. Thank you to all of the attendees for their generosity, which made it possible to support thousands of Hoosiers who are blind.
In the spirit of Homecoming, guests wore formal attire and proudly incorporated their alma mater colors or school-spirited accessories.

Seeing Beyond the Darkness
Dining in the Dark offers more than a formal dinner. During the meal, the lights are turned off and guests don sleep shades, creating a shared experience that builds awareness of the challenges faced by people with vision loss.
Proceeds from the event directly support rehabilitation programs through the Bosma Visionary Solutions Center, helping individuals build the skills and confidence needed for independent living and meaningful employment.
