Dining in the Dark is one of Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation’s most impactful fundraising events. This immersive evening invites guests to step into darkness during dinner, offering a brief but powerful perspective on vision loss, while raising critical funds for rehabilitation programs that support people who are blind or visually impaired. Event Information
The 2026 Dining in the Dark gala will take place on Saturday, September 20, at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. The evening begins with a reception and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and an after-party starting at 9 p.m.
In the spirit of Homecoming, we invite guests to wear formal attire and proudly incorporate their alma mater colors or school-spirited accessories. Whether you’re a Hoosier or Bosma alum, let your look be bright, bold and full of school pride. Shine in excellence and celebrate the colors that helped shape you!

Seeing Beyond the Darkness
Dining in the Dark offers more than a formal dinner. During the meal, the lights are turned off and guests don sleep shades, creating a shared experience that builds awareness of the challenges faced by people with vision loss.
Proceeds from the event directly support rehabilitation programs through the Bosma Visionary Solutions Center, helping individuals build the skills and confidence needed for independent living and meaningful employment.
