Join the White Cane Society

The White Cane Society is a community of donors who believe vision loss should never limit a person’s potential. Through an annual gift, members provide reliable, ongoing support that helps the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation plan for the future and serve more individuals across Indiana.

Your support ensures people who are blind or visually impaired have access to the training, tools and opportunities they need to live independently.

Why It Matters

Named for the white cane, a symbol of independence, the White Cane Society reflects a shared commitment to empowering individuals with vision loss. With nearly 160,000 Hoosiers living with blindness or visual impairment, the need for accessible services and support continues to grow.

Members play a vital role in sustaining programs at the Bosma Visionary Solutions Center, helping individuals build skills and pursue meaningful opportunities.

What Your Gift Can Do

There are meaningful ways to support the work of the Foundation and expand access to these programs.

$75 Donation

Put the ultimate symbol of independence into someone’s hands: a white cane. With this gift, you’ll join the White Cane Society and become part of a community dedicated to a world without barriers.

$100 Donation

Provide an adaptive health tool, such as a talking blood pressure cuff. This helps individuals manage their health with greater independence, privacy and confidence.

$500 Donation

Fund high-powered magnifiers for seniors attending a Low Vision Training Day. For many, these sessions are a turning point, showing vision loss doesn’t have to mean a loss of independence.

$1000 Donation

Open the digital world by providing a laptop equipped with screen-reading software. For a student or job seeker, this becomes a gateway to education, employment and long-term opportunity.

Become a Member

Becoming a member is simple. With an annual gift of $75 or more, or a recurring monthly gift of just $7, you can join a community committed to creating opportunity and independence.

To get started, contact Brandon Wells, Executive Director, at [email protected] or call 317.871.2176.

Other Ways to Give

Not ready for membership? You can still make a meaningful impact with a one-time or monthly gift. Every contribution helps expand access to services and support for individuals on their journey to independence.
