Come Take a Trip with Us at Dining in the Dark!

The hot Sahara sun beats down on your stylish yet comfortable safari hat, and the warm wind brings the delightful scents of dates and doum palms, acacia, and just a hint of thyme. A resounding roar brings your attention to a pride of lions cooling under the expansive limbs of an old acacia tree, an oasis of shade in an otherwise sun-drenched land. A lioness grooms restless cubs as an imposing lion peers at you, unmoved by your presence, but equally wary of strangers, especially the human kind. The sound of the jeep's engine rumbling is overshadowed by the all-too-familiar click of camera shutters. The driver shifts the jeep into drive, and you leave the pride to its daily life, drifting down a twisting trail that soon slinks down by a small pond at which giraffe and elephant drink, though they stay respectable distances away from each other, and now you. An elephant calf raises its water-soaked head to peer at you, tilting its head in question. A nudge from its mother's trunk returns it to its drinking. The chorus of shutters turns musical again. This is unlike any zoo you have ever visited, unlike any movie that has sought to portray it. This is the wild. An untamed beauty that is both timeless, majestic, and worthy of witnessing.
Bosma would like to invite you to join us in that spirit of adventure, that quest to know our roots, and that drive to experience all that life has to offer. We are having our famous yearly gala, Dining in the Dark. This year's theme is Wild at Heart: A Safari of Untamed Giving. We invite you to come and experience a grand expedition into dinner, dancing, and a silent auction full of interesting finds! Cast aside those traditional outfits and embrace your adventurous side with a dress code that favors the beauty of the wild. Safari formal attire, including earthy tones such as khaki, olive greens, browns, burnt orange, animal prints, and tribal patterns. Enjoy live music from the melodious talents of Bluewater Kings Band. For further inspiration on what to wear, please click here.
In addition to popular returning games like Diamond Dig, Wine, and Bourbon Pulls, Dining in the Dark will feature a cashless option for the very first time! Leave your cash behind for a faster and smoother experience when purchasing game tickets or bidding on your favorite auction items.
