Creating Job Opportunities

We’re working hard to help you get work. Our local employment services team locates viable job opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired. Our strategy is two-fold: we have a job-ready talent pool, and we also work with employers to understand the value of employing people who are blind or visually impaired. This program is funded through theBosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation and support from our generous donors. Funding is also provided by Vocational Rehabilitaion Services which provides quality individualized services to enhance and support people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain or retain employment.

For Employers

We are often out in the community, helping businesses understand the benefits of hiring people who are blind or visually impaired. We’re constantly working to open doors to employment in Indiana. We change the conversation from disability to ability by focusing on what people who are blind or visually impaired bring to the table.

We answer your questions, address concerns and provide coaching and consultation. For example, we help businesses put assistive technologies in place, which often involves only a small investment of time and money. We also provide information about working with a person who is blind or visually impaired.
